Redbox Is Boxed In As Sales Plateau, While Picture Perfect Ministry Films Lands Physical Distribution,
Well hello everyone, especially those who love their DVD's and sitting home enjoying movies.
In The Christian Cartel News we are speaking about Redbox. The company that owns the CoinStar box that you use when you are low on money and have to sneak out with the kids penny piggy bank that has only $15 in it...yeah that company.
Reports came in that they are at a stand still as they supassed last year 40,000 locations with over 1.97 Billion dollars in revenue. I said that's good for a business that they say is not going to last long with physical DVD's. I'm glad someone listened and obeys God's word as said in the book of Proverbs "There is death and life in the power of the tongue". The owners and CEO spoke against it and came out victorious. seems like when everyone flocks to one thing they leave sonething behind like a child who needs you to raise them because that same child might be the one you need one day and that is certainly the case now. Movie studios need Redbox to distribute their movies and that's been going good for them. Redbox has numerous contracts that are up for renewal like with Warner Bros./Time Warner. I wish this could be the same with music and Redbox start adding Gospel and Christian music to the kiosk. Well that is one thing the CEO of Picture Perfect Ministry Films and CitySide Records plan to do.
Which brings us to our next story. The newly launched Film department of CitySide Ministries says he won't leave the baby behind because everyone is flocking to the digital baby which is not physical but only digital. Remember the days when CD's would come out and you sit there and listen to it while looking at the pictures and words, it brought you in their world and what they were thinking and going thru. CitySide Records will be distributing Picture Perfect Ministry Films releases that are on Vimeo and YouTube on DVD. To make things more interesting they will be bunling music so record sales reflect for the ministries they promote and distribute. The CEO told us that bundling has been the best thing for their physical sales department because it raised it's sales and following 100 fold. Minister Stevie Tee told us that he's glad that God gave him wisdom on how to survive in a tough market along with winning new souls to Christ. He told us that their online church member subscriber base hasd went from an average of 40 members daily to 150 new members worldwide. We noticed that God's word says don't despise small beginnings and knowing that when you multiply those numbers times a number of locations the bottom numbers are larger than expected. Redbox only makes on average per location $971.00. Which comes to about 49 to $50,000 per year which is someone's salary. Many might say that's small but when you gain locations the numbers increase. They had last year end 40,000 locations times that times the $49,250 per location and you have the report of 1.97 Billion dollars in revenue. But of course they have a partnership with verizon which took in some of that which makes the $49,000 lower per location but we think you get the point.
The reason I'm saying this is because Picture Perfect and CitySide will be using that same model for it's physical distribution. It's estimated that per location and city they will bring in only $6000.00 weekly which surpasses Redbox by 5 to 6 times. Their goal is to only do in the first year 100 locations which will give them revenues in their first year which was around $31,000,000. Those numbers are big when you don't look at the small as small because in the end God gives wisdom well in the beginning if you accept but you will understand during or in the end is what I'm saying. But this physical sales model gives many Christian indie artist and actors a channel that will finance their ministry and feed Tiny Tim for a lonnnnnnng time.
So the moral of this story again is: Don't despise the small things! (Taken from below scripture)
